3" Variegated String of Hearts (Ceropegia woodii variegata)
Adorn your shelves with a delicate, dangling tapestry of pastel color. The Variegated String of Hearts (VSOH) is a highly coveted semi-succulent trailing vine prized for its romantic, heart-shaped foliage. While standard varieties offer simple silver and jade patterns, the variegated cultivar turns up the charm with soft, creamy-white margins that blush into a stunning rosy pink or lavender when grown under bright light.
This 3-inch container size is an adorable, well-rooted starter specimen, featuring multiple trailing delicate purple vines ready to cascade like a waterfall of tiny hearts over the rim of a small planter.
Key Features

Charming Trailing Silhouette: Thin, thread-like purple vines gracefully cascade downward, making it a perfect candidate for hanging displays or small floating shelves.

Semi-Succulent Resilience: Stores water in both its thick leaves and underground potato-like tubers, making it wonderfully forgiving if you occasionally forget to water.
Important Notes Before You Buy
⚠️ Petite Starter Plant Notice
This is a miniature starter plant in a compact 3-inch pot. While fully rooted and actively growing, the trailing vines are still in their youthful stage and will be shorter than a large, mature hanging basket specimen.
📸 Natural Color & Pattern Variation
The pink blush on a Variegated String of Hearts is a direct reaction to bright light (known as sun-stressing). Every individual plant develops its own unique balance of variegation. While your specimen will strictly match the 3-inch container size and premium health standards shown in our stock photo, its specific vine length and color intensity will be beautifully one-of-a-kind.
Quick Care Tips
-
Light: Requires bright, indirect sunlight to maintain its vibrant cream and pink coloration. A lack of light will cause the new growth to fade to a dull green and stretch out with sparse leaves. It can happily handle a bit of direct morning sun.
-
Water: Use the "soak and dry" method. Allow the potting mix to dry out 100% all the way to the bottom of the container before watering again. When the leaves feel slightly soft or pliable instead of plump and firm, it is a perfect cue that the plant is ready for a drink.
-
Soil: Needs an exceptionally gritty, fast-draining substrate. A high-quality cactus and succulent soil mix blended with extra pumice or perlite prevents moisture retention and keeps the delicate root system rot-free.
