5 Gallon Spider Plant
Spider Plant Care Instructions
Light: Spider plants thrive in bright, indirect light . Avoid afternoon direct sunlight, which can scorch their leaves.
Water: Keep the soil consistently moist during the growing season (spring and summer). Water less frequently in fall and winter, allowing the top inch of soil to dry out between waterings.
Humidity: Spider plants prefer moderate humidity but can adapt to typical indoor humidity levels.
Temperature: They prefer temperatures between 60-75°F (15-24°C). Protect them from drafts and sudden temperature fluctuations.
Soil: Use well-draining potting soil, such as a mix for houseplants or a combination of peat moss, perlite, and compost.
Fertilizer: Feed with a balanced liquid fertilizer diluted to half-strength every 2-4 weeks during the growing season.
Propagation: Easily propagated by dividing the plant or by planting the plantlets (spiderettes) that grow from the mother plant's stems.
Pruning: Trim yellow or brown leaves and prune to control size and shape.
**Special Note:** Spider plants are known for their air-purifying qualities, making them a popular choice for indoor spaces. They also produce spiderettes that dangle from long, arching stems, adding a unique aesthetic appeal to any room.
