Watershed Down Print by Noelle Phares
This piece depicts a scene in Northern California’s Feather River Canyon, outside of the town of Paradise. The title is a play on the famous novel "Watership Down", wherein a group of anthropomorphic rabbits leave their home in search of a new one. The residents near this watershed, including my own family, had to do the same after a wildfire destroyed the surrounding towns in 2018.
The original was painted with watercolor, gouache and acrylic on paper.
